Performed by a licensed and accredited therapist an evaluation is used to identify the extent of an individual’s drug or alcohol use and any presenting co-occurring mental health issues.

Forensic Substance Use Evaluations

Forensic Substance Use Evaluations are conducted for the purpose addressing allegations of substance use for a person involved in the legal system. Typically, these evaluations are “court-ordered” by a judge in a criminal or family court proceeding to determine if a person has a diagnosable Substance Use Disorder, and if indicated, any clinical recommendations for education, treatment, monitoring or case management services.

Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Evaluations

A Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) is a clinician certified to evaluate employees who have violated a U.S. Dept. of Transportation (D.O.T.) rule regarding substance use and who makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

Clinical Substance Use Assessment

A Clinical Substance Use Assessment serves to provide an expert opinion regarding an individual’s substance use to determine if a diagnosable Substance Use Disorder exists and provides clinical recommendations for education, treatment, or other mental health services if indicated.

Relapse Prevention Assessments

Relapse Prevention Assessments are designed for individuals who have a preexisting substance use problem and need an expert to evaluate their current recovery program and if needed, develop a clinical remediation plan to prevent relapse
